Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how this website collects, uses, and protects your information. We are an independent educational portal and preparation service for the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO); the competition itself is administered by the American Chemical Society (ACS). This policy covers the information handled through this site and our related contact channels. By using the site, you agree to the practices described below. If a particular service or form involves additional terms, we will make those clear at the point where you provide your information.

2. Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

  • Information you provide. Your name and contact details, and the content of any messages you send when you reach out to us via WhatsApp or our other contact channels.
  • Usage information. Pages you visit and basic device and browser details, collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries, to provide preparation information and services, and to improve the website and the way it is organized. Usage information helps us see which pages are most useful and where students get stuck, so we can make the material clearer. We send updates and announcements only to people who have chosen to opt in, and every such message includes a way to unsubscribe at any time.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and third-party analytics services to understand how visitors use the site, so we can make it more useful. You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work as intended if you do.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the site — such as analytics and messaging platforms — and only as needed for them to perform those services on our behalf.

6. Data retention and security

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, and apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect it against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. You can also ask us to stop sending updates or to limit how we use your details. We will respond to reasonable requests in accordance with applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Children

This site serves high-school students. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please involve a parent or guardian before sharing any personal information with us or signing up for our services.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page, and the latest version will always be posted here.

10. Contact

If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your information, please reach us through the Contact page.
